I lived in Petersfield for most of my life and come back...
I lived in Petersfield for most of my life and come back fairly regularly to visit family and friends. It’s a lovely market town and there is the Heath Lake which is very scenic. The shops have improved since I last visited and there are now some very good bars/restaurants. We ate mostly at Wetherspoon because we had to eat out a few times. I actually came to meet up with family. I fou nd the area well located for visits to other towns and villages. A charming village near the glorious South Downs. We had difficulty finding somewhere to eat on the Sunday night but Ruby and Monty was a little gem of a restaurant (Italian - pizza/pasta) that accommodated us at short notice - they served the best salads and bruschetta I have ever eaten!Guest review byHannahUnited Kingdom

The hot tub was a real treat - and it was a proper solid one, not the inflatable one in the pics. Sitting on the veranda, sipping a whisky in an evening with warmth and lighting from the fire pit was delightful.
