The cultural foundations of this predominantly red-brick city are on display at the Manchester Museum and the People’s History Museum. If art is you preference, the extensive pre-Raphaelite collection at the Manchester Art Gallery is a sight to behold.

We stayed in Manchester to see a concert at the Opera house, so stayed a couple of nights to explore the area and do some shopping. Manchester just seems to have random stuff everywhere, without and sense to the layout. The shops were standard high street shops and were expensive The bars and restaurants were also very expensive and there were far too many, until we wanted a late beer and couldn't get one after midnight We made use of Weatherspoods a couple of times for food, as they were affordable There were homeless people on every block, far too many people in the centre and a lot of the area smelled of drugs

Manchester is okay but trying to find some nightlife without paying through the roof to end the door was a bit ridiculous. The one place out at was O'Malley's pub. The food was great. The nightlife is great and set up very happy with the service and enjoyed myself.

Lovely place, easy to get around with the trams and how cheap they are for a group at weekends. We ate at the alchemist lovely food and drink, we came for a festival and was so easy to get to also. Would be good for shopping if you go for that. There was a massive retail park from hotel (the niu loom)we stayed at.

It's easy to get about, the streets are cleaner than London! Always very busy, but simple to drive into and good the ULEZ scheme is not implemented at present which would dissuade me visiting. There's a lot to do, theatres, places to eat, museums, and shopping for those that like that sort of thing.

Manchester is a beautiful place, with great people and community around. Going from one place to another was so easy as trams are constantly coming. Food shops were all around and l enjoyed the McDonnalds food. I spent most of my time at the Convention Centre where we had the Prayer Meeting.

The hotel is nicely located close to Manchester Cathedral and within walking distance of the city centre. Maldron Hotels always have a nice vibe and are furnished with great attention to detail. The rooms were comfortable, featuring a large bathroom, which added to the overall experience. Breakfast offered a good selection of choices, but for a longer stay, it did feel a bit repetitive. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would recommend this hotel for its location, comfort, and atmosphere

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. We visited Manchester as a family for a holiday and to attend a concert, and the hotel turned out to be an excellent choice. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for a family. The location was excellent – very close to the city centre, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport. Breakfast had a great variety, satisfying both adults and children. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Manchester, especially families!

Great location 10min walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station. City centre location great. Brilliant old architectural building but looking tired. Room size was ok but the bed mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable. In general the hotel was clean and tidy. Breakfast was very average. The hotel staff were very polite and very helpful.
