Victorian Resort with a Welsh Twist
The most popular Wales seaside resort, Llandudno covers a peninsula with 2 sandy coastlines. The North Shore’s wide Victorian promenade is lined with period buildings which now house seafront hotels and guest houses. The beach itself stretches all the way between the Little Orme and Great Orme headlands, passing an outdoor swimming pool.
A historic tram climbs to the peak of Great Orme, where Bronze Age copper mines can be visited. The top is also reachable by cable car from Happy Valley, a recreation area with gardens and an artificial ski slope.
A road runs around the base of the headland passing the historic Grand Hotel, a property available on Booking.com and overlooking the Grade II-listed pier – the longest in Wales. The West Shore is much less developed and the Maesdu Golf Course forms most of its shoreline.
Of course, Llandudno has its fair share of traditional seaside pursuits such as donkey rides and fish and chip shops.
The town also has a modern retail park near the train station and Venue Cymru event centre, and wrought-iron canopies shade smaller shops along Mostyn Avenue, Broadway and Street. The latter - Mostyn Street - is effectively the high street and becomes brightly decorated during the Victorian carnival in May.

Great hotel (four saints brig y don). Great shopping street behind with plenty of bars and restaurants, coffee shops etc also main shops on retail park at end of Mostyn Street. Pier great for entertainment, fair rides, arcades, food and drinks. Local swimming pool if no pool in hotels, outdoor splash pool for kids during summer months with park by side of lifeboat station on the seafront. Beach great for kids to play, pebbly but decent. Lovely clean seaside town.
Lovely clean seaside town. Long flat promenade for buggies and wheelchairs along the sea front but beware of the seagulls if eating near pier. Plenty of cafe’s in town. Many bars with entertainment. Magic bar great for all the family. Great place to visit for couple days.Guest review bySusan - 6.0

They're not looking for quality anything, just the cheapest possible and they're dragging the quality of Llandudno down to their level. Lovely traditional sea side town with something for everyone. Lots of historic attractions nearby, many activities for adrenal junkies and quiet parks and promenades for a quiet break. Many great places to eat, the Thai food at Wok and Roll is fantastic. It's a big place and has plenty to offer good food good pubs bus service to lots of places and you get discount with your bus pass, they have jet boat rides and boat rides around the great orme and they have bus tours mini bus rides up the great orme as we as the tram up there also they do a nice travel around the great orme punch and Judy on the prom you do get a lot for your money and don't forget the famous prom you have a ferris-wheel, arcades, gift shop and food and a pub all on the prom highly recommended.Guest review byDavid

Staff were very nice and I was only staying one night so fitted the bill. Was a bit cold but it was freezing outside and it is a big hotel to keep warm under current circumstances.
