Very pleasant town with friendly locals. Well appointed High Street. Had a bit of character. Impressed with local pride in the Manic Street Preachers & the Chartist Uprising of 1839. Can recommend Big Dog Coffee. Excellent coffee (& cake) with warm & friendly staff. The studio type accommodation worked perfectly for our purposes of visiting the National Park and Cardiff over a two day period (we had a car). It’s situated conveniently in Blackwood itself which is a nice town with all the amenities you might need.
