Fantastic hotel. Very clean and large room for the price. Situated across the road from Blackpool North Station. A few blocks from the Tower. I was on the 1st floor and had no noise issues. Thr toiletries were to die for. I'm now trying to buy online. The only thing I'd say as a critique and only because I'm fussy with my linen is the bedsheets was a wee bit messy. Just needed to be straightened.....like an army bed.. that's what I like.

Our stay at Glendor Hotel was truly exceptional from start to finish. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile, making me feel right at home. The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. I particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast spread each morning, as well as the peaceful ambiance throughout the hotel. Its convenient location made exploring the city effortless, yet the hotel still felt like a quiet retreat. I left feeling refreshed and grateful, and I would gladly return for another wonderful experience.

FAQs about hotels in Blackpool

Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea

A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.

On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!

More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.

A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

I've been coming to Blackpool since I was a little girl, so many memories are held here and I've always found excuses to come back. Blackpool has so many activities, piers to visit, fun fairs, and shops, even a market. So many arcades and gift shops for everyone. So many takeaways and dessert places to visit. Here is never dull; there is always something going on that keeps you busy, and I always say one day isn't enough for me; I'd stay for a few nights to satisfy my heart!

I have always liked Blackpool from being very young.

I have always liked Blackpool from being very young. Of course the place has changed a lot, but still find it a pretty good place to go. This time as a birthday treat from my wife. The switching on of the illuminations was the highlight of the stay. But,, to say that the low point of the trip was the hotel that I had chosen didn't deter from the town and activities offered. Love the day rider tram and bus rides. Just a pity that we couldn't ride the tram all the way through the lights on the Friday night. We did however do the full length of the lights by car on the Saturday evening. We had a good weekend even with the poor choice of hotel.

Sometimes Blackpool gets a bad reputation but I always find it to be a great location for a short break. Lots to do and see. Promenade is lovely for a long walk. Lots of nightlife and everyone we met was really friendly. Funny Girls is an excellent night out. Dancers and costumes amazing. Beach House on the promenade is lovely for dinner. Views spectacular particularly at sunset. Soul Suite pub plays great music and has fab atmosphere.

We stayed for a couple of days to visit pleasure beach,...

We stayed for a couple of days to visit pleasure beach, sandcastle waterpark, Sealife centre and the gruffalo soft play. We haven't visited before, so not sure if COVID is the cause, but a huge amount of buildings are boarded up or left to rot. It's no exaggeration to say that almost every other building on the sea front is an abandoned hotel. There is a big homeless and either drunk or drug addict problem which is very evident from walking around the sea front and surrounding streets during the day. Many of the arcades and attractions have seen better days and a lot of stuff just didn't work. It's a shame, because the attractions we visited were generally good. Pleasure beach has some amazing rollercoasters, sandcastle is amazing and we really enjoyed the sea life centre and gruffalo soft play though both were over priced. Unfortunately, the place in which they are located is a bit of a disaster.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Brooklyn Hotel. The owners were lovely and friendly and really easy to talk to. The bar was a nice touch to relax in the evenings. The room was nice and spacious and bigger than what I expected. The cooked breakfasts were excellent and really tasty. The location near the seafront was excellent with a tram stop at the end of the road and only a 20 min walk to Blackpool Tower and the town centre. Brilliant value for money as well.

The bedroom was small but had everything we needed. It looked newly decorated and was very clean and warm. The breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked to order and there was plenty to eat. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Good location, about 15 minutes stroll along the seafront to Blackpool Tower. We would recommend the Hopton Hotel to friends and will stay there again when we visit Blackpool.

The hotel is conveniently located near the seafront close to local Tran and Bus services. This is now my first choice of hotel in Blackpool.
