Probably the best place in Yasawa islands! They keep it small with family and traditional vibe. Don't expect cuisine, bar and pool like at other resorts, but I had beautiful Bure just for myself for the price of dorm at other resorts, the best beach with hammocks, kayak for free (worth to try and go for virgin beaches) and I felt like in real paradise that has not been spoiled by tourism.

Amazing stay at Barefoot Kuata, with its exceptionnal location, warm hospitality, stunning front beach bure - special mention to the outdoor shower. The food was also great and we had the best experience ever with the Awakening Bull Shark Dive. A clear must-do! Even if you are scared, everything is well managed and secured with a lot of staff members to secure the dive. AMAZING!

Small island resort in a paradisiacal setting with excellent snorkelling opportunities. The reefs around the island are full of coral, colourful fish, sharks, manta rays (not guaranteed) and turtles. They'll lend you all the snorkelling (or scuba) equipment for a fee. There are several room options to suit your budget and there is a good choice of tasty food.

What a wonderful and memorable stay in a traditional Fijian village. We liked it so much that we ended up staying in Soso village for a month. Silo, Bill, Va, Rob, Simi, Luisa and Iki, we will never forget the great time we had with you. You took good care of us, prepared extra food for the children and helped us when they got sick. As for the village. The people are very friendly, with a lot of children, so our kids made friends instantly. The beach in front of the village is beautiful, with a nice healthy reef to snorkel and there are some nice hikes with spectacular views over all of the Tasawas. As there is no light pollution, stargazing is breathtaking and the manta ray passage is just around the corner. The accommodation is very basic with a bucket shower and no-flush-toilet, but the beds are comfortable and the food is great. Note that the water available is rain water, so if you want to go safe, bring your own bottled water (or aqua-tabs) from the mainland because there are no real shops on the island. Also, you should wear a Sulu (Sarong) around the village and in church, men too. And it’s expected that you bring a kava root (worth 20 FJ$) and/or some money to present to the chief of the village when you arrive.

See other review. Good value holiday in a quiet, relaxing and friendly island. Basic conditions but all you need. Would NOT meet expectations of people wanting a fancy resort with all the frills. But if you are after a basic holiday in paradise then you will love it

We come two times a year because of the people and the lifestyle. As I talked to other families they said the same thing. They love how friendly the staff are and how everyone is welcome. Best place we ever stayed. If you’re thinking of doing Fiji make this spot a priority. Be careful thought, you will fall in love and never want to leave. Make sure to do the island walk, the mountain hike and eat some do the amazing pancakecays at breakfast.
