The place is a family owned, Kirsi was a wonderful host, she helped us on many occasions during our stay. You may find this place right for you if you want to live in the forest, far away from the noise and big cities. Especially if you like fishing. We came specifically for fishing and were satisfied with results! There is a small city nearby, where you can buy groceries. At one point my father got a fishing hook stuck in his finger, really bad. Kirsi told us the name of the hospital in the city nearby, we went there and a doctor removed the hook, real fun (200 euro).

There is very clean both inside and around the house. The house is well equipped. There are not only basic necessities (for instance plates, forks, spoons, cups of very high quality), but a lot of different pleasant little things: radio, bicycles, boat, life jackets and so on. The water in the tap is soft and pleasant. On the cost of the lake there is a small pier equipped with a ladder to make it convenient to get out of the water. There are a bathhouse, sauna, fireplace and a large woodpile with firewood.

A recently renovated apartment located in Joensuu, Cityvilla on the shore of Lake Haapajärvi features a private beach area.

Amazing cabin at a beautiful shore of a lake, communication with the owner was great. Cosy, clean, well equipped - with sauna and jacuzzi. Just a few minutes drive from Joensuu. Definitely would return
