Our bed was comfortable and the sound insulation was good, so we slept well. We had our own private space, including a roof terrace, which was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. There was variety of things to eat, it was plentiful and pleasantly presented. Our hosts' attention to detail and our comfort was a refreshing change from many experiences. We did not feel like an intrusion in their home, rather that we were welcome. Contact was easy, friendly, yet respectful. The location surprised me: it was much more convenient as a base to explore the region than I had imagined. Access to the highway is simple and Loja is an easy ten minute drive. Loja has a few good restaurants. It is excellent value for money and I strongly recommend it.

We stayed at Alojamiento La Escalera during our bicycle trip, and it was a fantastic experience. After a long day of riding, arriving at the hotel was such a pleasure. The warm welcome we received was truly special—the Argentinian host was incredibly kind and even helped us securely park our bikes in the cellar, giving us peace of mind. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
