The architecture in Madrid is beautiful and whilst it's not as hip as Barcelona it's also not as frenetic and it's an easy place to get around on foot if you're reasonable fit and able. We visiited the Grand Via, the El Rastro sunday international market, the Mercado de San Miguel where one can eat all varities of Spanish foods.
