spacious, clean, comfortable room with WONDERFUL bed, and the warm hospitality the stuff demonstrated. bathroom is well planned and has good space as well. the room had big windows, automated curtain / blind and air conditioning. the architecture is very charming, atmosphere of an old house is well kept but it also feels modern with updated facilities. it’s on the rather big road but the house is off from the street, it’s peaceful and quiet in the room. it is not in the middle of busy part of the town but it is very close with the bicycle which you can rent for free at the hotel. 5mins ride to zurriola beach, around 10 to la concha, as well as the old town. One of the most comfortable room I ever stayed, I would love to come back.

Amazing Coastline and Historical Beauty

San Sebastian is a famous beach resort in the north of Spain with picturesque coastline, vibrant nightlife and amazing Basque gastronomy.

Playa de la Concha is one of the world’s most popular city beaches, ideal for watersports lovers. Rent a surfboard on Zurriola beach or just relax on a cosy lounge chair under your umbrella.

Established as the culinary capital of Spain, San Sebastian features a variety of bars and restaurants serving delicious pintxos (Basque-style tapas), fresh seafood and fine wine. According to Spanish tradition, you should have one tapa and a wine in one bar, then move on to the next bar.

The tree-covered hill standing just across the gulf is called Urgull and offers spectacular views over the bay and city. Situated at the bottom of it, Parte Vieja is the old part of the town where you can mix with the locals and visit some of the city’s most interesting historical attractions.

    We really enjoyed the location and the views from the...

    We really enjoyed the location and the views from the apartment were great. Everything was within easy walking distance (bakery, grocery, shops, beach, train station...). The apartment is situated in a very quiet location. The property is good size for 3 people to stay comfortably. The kitchen had some basic cooking equipment. The bathroom shower is powerfull but on a smaller size and bathroom is missing some basic storage. Monica gave us clear instructions before arrival and communicated well. Unfortunately, the property is advertised as non smoking and there was a very strong smell of smoke present when we arrived. The owner tried to rectify it by giving us a small air purifier but it was very gimmicky and unfortunately hasn't done the job. We could smell it on our bedding too :( . We raised the issue with Monica but she insisted that apartment is non smoking. We requested a small refund but could not come to an agreement. Shame!

    A beautiful seaside city with a good beach and great public buses and friendly people. Everything about it was cheerful. Wonderful architecture, lively street life with cafes, bars and green spaces. I would like to go back again.

    superb town , lots to see and do , wine and food off the...

    superb town , lots to see and do , wine and food off the charts , very bust but never queued for anything , nice mix of old town harbour and new town . amazing views from the attraction park , small bit of advice though taxi to the top for 10 euros otherwise the queues are hours .. definitely come back . clever travels come in via biarritz for a quick transfer , but worth while a night there aswell when going home.

    Fascinating and picturesque city. Oodles of things to see, do and eat or drink! Took a bike tour and got a sense of the scale of the city. Even the supposed “working class areas” were clean tree lined and well laid out. Lovely local squares with families socialising and playing til late

    Donostia-San Sebastián is an absolute gem on Spain’s northern coast—a perfect blend of natural beauty, vibrant culture, and world-class gastronomy. The city’s charming old town (Parte Vieja) is a delight to explore, and the highlight for any foodie is undoubtedly the pintxos tour. Hopping from bar to bar, sampling bite-sized masterpieces paired with local txakoli wine, is an unforgettable experience. Each stop offers something unique—from traditional classics to avant-garde creations. We did a walk along the two coves – La Concha and Ondarreta – and the views were just stunning. The coastline is so pretty, and the walk is super easygoing and peaceful. We also hiked up to the Castillo de la Mota on Monte Urgull, which was a bit of a climb but 100% worth it for the panoramic views over the city and sea. Warm hospitality, stunning coastal views, and the buzz of lively conversations make San Sebastián a must-visit destination for anyone who loves food, culture, and authentic local experiences.

    Great beachfront for jogging, walking or cycling. 3 different beaches. Nice walk/hike up Mt Urguell, ( museum is very interesting). Then up the Funicular to the fun park on the Ondarreta side. Got good recommendation for restaurants from the hosts but there’s amazing choice of pintxos. Parking is astronomical but there’s free parking on the outskirts. Beautiful churches throughout the city also and plenty of shopping opportunities for the girls.

    The hotel was very clean, the facilities were excellent, generous size room and picturesque balcony overlooking the boulevard. The hotel is right in the heart of the city, within walking distance from the old town and the beach. We also received a free room upgrade and in all honesty it was such a lovely touch to what turned out to be an amazing birthday getaway. Would not stay anywhere else whilst in San Sebastian.

    Just a little bit out of town, we stayed one night. We got a short taxi to the funicular where you have great views of SB. We then walked along the beautiful beach to the old town where ate the best tapas. We could then walk back to the hotel quite easily.
