Room was good. It's a refurbished older building but done up very well. Breakfast was very good and a great view from the roof top dining area. The place is very secure and always attended. Quiet location on a small street with only foot traffic. Close to restaurants and cafes and the old part of Quito. Staff were exceptional in providing information and assistance. Run by younger, folk but they could teach most other hotel operators a thing or two about good customer care and service.

Highly Recommended – A Fantastic Stay! I had a wonderful experience at this hotel and would absolutely recommend it to others. The location is superb, offering beautiful views and easy access to everything you might need. The property itself is stunning – well-maintained, stylish, and with a truly charming atmosphere. The reception was inviting and nicely decorated. We enjoyed a good breakfast with a pleasant neighborhood view. Our room was spacious, well-decorated, and had a lovely window seat. The bathroom was also spacious and well-equipped. Additionally, we appreciated the domotic lighting in the room. The staff was polite, friendly, and helpful.

We felt very comfortable in the Hotel San Marcos. The location of the hotel in the old town of Quito is great. You can easily reach all sights on foot. The hotel is in a safe and quiet area. The beds are very comfortable. The shower has enough water pressure and hot water. Everything very clean. The breakfast is very varied and fine. The host gave us great tips for the onward journey in Ecuador.
