La Chonta is an incredibly special place. It is such a beautiful space immersed in nature. We saw Toucans, parrots and so many other birds from the balcony. It was nice staying a bit out of town in nature. There is so much to do around Mindo, I wish we had more time. When we arrived, Andres was our host, but leaving as a friend. He joined us on morning walks, showed us great places to eat, and we shared many stories along the way. Thank you for everything and we cannot wait to come back. I recommend La Chonta as one of the best places we have stayed anywhere. Don't think, just book.

The cabin is beautiful and very comfortable. The lodge is well-maintained, offering scenic views, peaceful sounds, and incredibly nice people. My partner and I stayed here for five days following a trekking holiday to relax and reconnect, and it was exactly what we needed. This property is absolutely beautiful. A few minutes walk from town, the common area and rooms are stunning and we felt so relaxed and well taken care of during our stay. Margarit and her staff were all so lovely and helpful with making recommendations and booking tours/taxis. The breakfast was delicious, our favourite of the trip so far.
