It is close to Ramstein AFB. There is a bus that goes to the base. Another bus runs in front of the hotel that takes you to town and train station, but you could walk to the train station and town too. We loved the area.
We loved the area. Lanstuhl Castle our favorite with trails to walk, met interesting people, great view, touring the Castle, and their restaurant was lovely, good service, and had great food. I like the area, I've been here before and will go back. I like going to the Rhine, and sitting there looking at the ships going up and down. My only real complaint was the weather.
My only real complaint was the weather. Most of the time I was here, 3rd week of May, it was cloudy and rainier and colder than I expected.
