Castle is absolute must.
Castle is absolute must. It is breathtaking (both views and stairs). Tour is 3 times to fast, but on the other hand, for a architecture/history nerd (like me) 4 hours would still be not be enough. Tourists didn't yet trample every corner of this medieval town, so you can enjoy cold beer and tasty goulash in peace.Guest review byMarcinPoland

Great location ( surrounded by green and a river ). 1.1 km from the train station ( Karlštejn). A nice walk passing by the Zoo park or by car ( enough parking spaces). The rooms are beautifully decorated and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. A special thanks to the lady who is in charge of the breakfast buffet. A terrace on the first floor has a view straight to the castle. The hotel and restaurant have an alpine ambience. Very friendly, helpful staff and very safe off street parking, which is amazing considering that the hotel is in a mountain village.
