My stay in Uvita was wonderful because it was October and very quiet. I was lucky to have no rain most days and explored all around the area. I loved playa Hermosa and Bahia Ballena. Whale watching was amazing, however it feels a little intrusive. We were assured that the boats are only allowed to go out certain times in the day and not at all at certain times of the year. Everything about the stay was great - the hosts were lovely, the room is nicely decorated, the location is near Los Laureles (great restaurant) and Whale Tail Brewery. You have to try Sebas restaurant whilst you're in Uvita - it's insane! You can ask Dave or Rosa at the hotel to help you book a table. The beds were really really comfortable, well decorated rooms and apartments, a good sized pool and a jacuzzi, and surrounded by nature. It really was an excellent place to stay. The owner, Sylvain was an excellent host, and incredibly helpful. We booked two tours through him and he was so very helpful when our taxi didn’t turn up when we were leaving the hotel. The owner & also host Heri is amazing. In the evening you can eat spanish at his restaurant next to the villas. His staff are very friendly & there are two super cute cats as well ;) Make sure to book a table at least once during your stay.
