Was there 5 days for cycling the high mountain passes. Wonderful hotel with very good price/quality. The staff is amazing friendly! Danke Astrid und Carmen, Grazie Roberta! Booked also evening dinner at a good price and the cook (Peter) makes wonderful meals . Very good hotel in one of the most beautiful regions in Europe. I would like to go again . We stayed here in 2022 and now again in 2023...and this is still one of those really great unique hotels...top of the Grimsel Pass in central Switzerland...the weather determines everything...one moment thick cloud and then a stunning view..thats the Alps for you. We had a great terrace overlooking the lake ...the room is huge...the bed as comfy as comfy land...lots of hanging space and spotlessly clean....

Great hotel in the scenic Grimsel Pass area. Fabulous location for walking or visiting the Gelmerbahn. Bus stops at the door and it's only 1 hour from Meiringen. The terrace restaurant is nice for during the day or pre-dinner drinks. Food is outstanding especially considering the isolated location. Well done to the kitchen staff and chef.

By Far one of the best places i have ever stayed and as a group of 11 friends travelling on motorcycles it was a super place to stay ,the rooms were warm ,comfy beds great sized bathroom the staff were just amazing ,The food on the menu was just superb and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic

    Came to do some cycling in the area, and needed a place to stay for a few nights. Hotel Nufenen was ideally located for this, at the foot of the Furka, Grimsel, and Nufenen Pass climbs, with terrific scenery and a water fountain just outside. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, I was able to dine here in the evenings and there was plenty on offer for breakfast. The room had a very cosy alpine feel to it, so I was very happy! Also had secure storage for bikes!

    Decent quality hotel on the road through Ulrichen. Nice rooms and comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. Stairs and no lift but we were on the first floor so managed ok. Good parking out front, plenty of room.

    What a fantastic hotel! Super friendly staff. Fantastic location. Quiet and very clean, I had an amazing sleep and the breakfast was superb.. Highly recommend it if you're in the area.
