Just as beautiful as it looks on the photos, great stop off on our drive from Zurich to Italy. The place was immaculate. Very welcoming owner. Brought breakfast into our room in the evening as she knew we wanted an early start.

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They kindly accepted a parcel of dried food for us in advance and even helped us dry our wet tent. We also received extra vegan breakfast options, including vegan Nutella — a lovely touch! The view from La Sctalèta is stunning, and the building itself is truly special: a charming blend of traditional stone grotto and warm, wooden interior. The kitchen was well-equipped, even offering two sizes of Bialetti with fresh ground coffee — perfect for making espresso. Just a heads-up: the accommodation is in the hosts’ garden, so you may encounter their friendly dog and children playing in front of your window. This wasn’t an issue for us at all, and only added to the homely atmosphere.
