By Far one of the best places i have ever stayed and as a group of 11 friends travelling on motorcycles it was a super place to stay ,the rooms were warm ,comfy beds great sized bathroom the staff were just amazing ,The food on the menu was just superb and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic

We stayed here in 2022 and now again in 2023...and this is still one of those really great unique hotels...top of the Grimsel Pass in central Switzerland...the weather determines everything...one moment thick cloud and then a stunning view..thats the Alps for you. We had a great terrace overlooking the lake ...the room is huge...the bed as comfy as comfy land...lots of hanging space and spotlessly clean....

Great hotel in the scenic Grimsel Pass area. Fabulous location for walking or visiting the Gelmerbahn. Bus stops at the door and it's only 1 hour from Meiringen. The terrace restaurant is nice for during the day or pre-dinner drinks. Food is outstanding especially considering the isolated location. Well done to the kitchen staff and chef.

This is a very special place to stay and I highly recommend it. Probably one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and (needless to say) the views are stunning. I particularly liked the sauna space which you book out for exclusive use, which was so relaxing. The food was fantastic - we went for the local dishes (including a locally-made aperitif) and we were so impressed, from beginning to end. Having breakfast outside was another bonus (and the breakfast buffet choices are fantastic). What an exceptional place. Can't wait to go back!

Was there 5 days for cycling the high mountain passes. Wonderful hotel with very good price/quality. The staff is amazing friendly! Danke Astrid und Carmen, Grazie Roberta! Booked also evening dinner at a good price and the cook (Peter) makes wonderful meals . Very good hotel in one of the most beautiful regions in Europe. I would like to go again .     I have stated here before and will be returning 100%. The hosts & staff are perfect, can’t do enough to make your stay comfortable. Recommended to all bikers (A MUST) if are doing all the Swiss Mountain Passes. Owner also has a private garage as well as hotel dedicated parking directly opposite 100% safe. Trust me this Hotel is a Must!!!

    The location was good - easy to reach by train and basically a flat route between the station and the hotel. The zwetschgenkuchen (damson cake) was lovely. Dinner in the attached restaurant was tasty. The room was comfortable. I'd happily go back.

    Sometimes one visit a hotel that really exceeds all your expectations and this hotel was one of them. The personell is really, really nice, the room modern with high standard and the location is really peaceful. Best recommendations.
