This is a very special place to stay and I highly recommend it. Probably one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and (needless to say) the views are stunning. I particularly liked the sauna space which you book out for exclusive use, which was so relaxing. The food was fantastic - we went for the local dishes (including a locally-made aperitif) and we were so impressed, from beginning to end. Having breakfast outside was another bonus (and the breakfast buffet choices are fantastic). What an exceptional place. Can't wait to go back!

A small rural town well connected by train. Ideal for day trips (by train) to better-known places in the surroundings for visits to mountain tops by cable car, especially if you have some kind of train pass or a reduction ticket. This hotel is fairly old with quaint decor. I picked it mainly because of the value for money. As I was traveling on Interrail, I could use this town as a base for day trips by train to more interesting (sorry) places. I especially liked walking the Schöllenen Gorge (from Andermatt) and going by cable car up to the Eggishorn (from Fiesch), both a short train ride away.

Was there 5 days for cycling the high mountain passes. Wonderful hotel with very good price/quality. The staff is amazing friendly! Danke Astrid und Carmen, Grazie Roberta! Booked also evening dinner at a good price and the cook (Peter) makes wonderful meals . Very good hotel in one of the most beautiful regions in Europe. I would like to go again . By Far one of the best places i have ever stayed and as a group of 11 friends travelling on motorcycles it was a super place to stay ,the rooms were warm ,comfy beds great sized bathroom the staff were just amazing ,The food on the menu was just superb and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic

    We had a wonderful stay in Apartment Werlen! The apartment was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. The location is perfect – quiet, with stunning mountain views, and just a short walk to the village. Our host was very friendly, responsive, and made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of the Swiss Alps.

    The staff is super kind and dog friendly. Historical hotel refurbished but kept as original. The restaurant offers a big selection of food - especially compared to the classic Swiss restaurants and the price is good. Rooms are cosy, super cleaner and warm and with no noise. Of course they are not modern but this is part of the style. We will definitely come back.
