Lovely hotel. Right down the end of Banff Ave so away from the busy part of town, but local bus stops right outside (free bus pass is provided by the hotel) and the free ski shuttle to 3 mountains is just across the road. The hot pools were amazing, such a beautiful setting. Nice sauna, no cold plunge pool but standing outside in the snow is a quick way to cool off. Good cafe/restaurant on site. Spacious bedroom with plenty of daylight and balcony. Nice touches like a feature wall which is a map of the region and canoe shaped drawer handles.

We had an amazing experience with Brewster Mountain Lodge! Our first booking had to be canceled because our flight was canceled just six hours before departure. Brewster Mountain Lodge was incredibly helpful and understanding. They gave us a full refund without any hassle. We were so grateful for their kindness during a stressful time. Thankfully, we got a second chance to visit Banff, and of course, we booked again at Brewster Mountain Lodge. Our stay was fantastic! The room was cozy and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious. It truly felt like a comforting meal made by mom. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the lady at the breakfast nook was especially kind and welcoming. Overall, we absolutely loved our experience at Brewster Mountain Lodge. We feel so lucky to have stayed there and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Banff is an interesting town to visit in the summer, with a quaint, slightly western, ski-town vibe. We were there for two days at the end of August, along with many other people! Picked our historic hotel, Mount Royal, based on location. Lots of quirky souvenir shops line the totally walkable streets as well as great restaurants. Quite a few nice places to just sit, relax, and grab a craft beer, and there's even a rooftop bar! Try the pizza at Three Bears Brewery on Bear St--it's to die for!! Coffee houses and tea shops are in the area too. Loved the free transportation to the scenic Gondola up Sulphur Mtn--a must do! You'll need a ticket as it gets quite crowded. Once at the top, take the deck walk all the way up (376 steps but they're spread out, plus have areas for scenic photos and/or to catch your breath). You'll be rewarded with great views of the Cascade mountain range with the town of Banff below. We had a champagne toast to our anniversary at the Skydeck Bistro for lunch (be sure to reserve as it is quite busy). Once back in town you can bus it to visit the stately, castle-like Banff Springs Fairmont Hotel located just outside of town, for a drink on the scenic patio of the Rundle Bar. Many steak/bison restaurants (Chuck's, Grizzly) are within walking distance in town, but we opted for a short taxi ride to have a mountain view sunset dinner at the Juniper Hotel Bistro's patio. Our last morning before heading out we grabbed some homemade granola and scones, with freshly brewed coffee, at the Wild Flour Bakery, open at 7am. We left Banff mid-morning and took the scenic route to Lake Louise for even more beautiful scenery and hiking. Highly recommend visiting Banff/Lake Louise area in the summer. It is a breathtakingly beautiful area!

There are many other location in the Rocky Mountains nicer than Banff. The three days we stayed there it was crowded of people, very far what we expected in the mountains. All the attractions were crowded, in special the hot tubs. After seen the small pools crowded we refused to go into. Besides, the restaurants have crazy prices. Banff was the worst experience in our 3 weeks in Canada. Of course, we loved the environment, the glaziers, the trip from Jasper to Banff, but we recommend to sleep in Jasper or other locations instead of Banff.

Beautiful location, ample choice of restaurants (including good gluten-free and vegan options), very lovely ambiance and walkability, some good sights to see in town plus access to a variety of activities. However, in high season, there are a LOT of tourists and hotel rates are high for what you get (e.g., over $500 for an older style hotel room that hasn't been updated).

Banff was so beautiful! We stayed at Juniper Bistro. Once we arrived, we checked in and headed up Mt Norquay, took the open chairlift up to Cliffhouse Bistro for dinner in the drizzle. There had been thunder and lightning and then hail, but I'm so glad we stook it out as we were awarded a rainbow in the view. The bistro was amazing! I'm the morning we got coffee at the Fairmont hotel, Canada's Castle, and then walked around the Cascades garden, and hit some shops. Great time for just an overnight stop.

I spent 20 days at the Hostel. A little too long for Banff, but the facility and staff were great. It made me a little sad when I left. Many of the staff members referred to me as a friend. And that's the way they treat guests. Not just someone who paid for a bed for the night.

The room was clean and well kept. The common shower rooms were also kept very clean, which was an important consideration. The staff were friendly. The bus passes were very helpful for travelling around Banff area. Bear sprays were madr available to us for borrowing at no cost for our treks, which was a great plus point. The location was 5 mins by bus to the downtown Banff, which connected us to buses to the Lake Louise, Lake Moraine and the treks. Excellent stay experience.
