The location was very good inside the forest and the weather was fantasti , the staff was friendly and the food was delicius, Also the accomodation was comfortable with big rooms. Maybe a small mini market near the hotel was usefull because the location is 20km far from the city if you need something. Lovely town.
Lovely town. Lots of pedestrian streets with restaurants and coffee shops. Easy to get around on foot. The sea garden is lovely and so big.. There are plenty of areas for children to play, small stage where you can lister to free concerts or you can book a ticket for the summer theatre showing various productions. The beach is great with free areas or if you want you can rent a parasol and lounger for a small fee. Burgas may be a small city, but it truly has a lot to offer. I explored almost every corner, asking random people on the street to take photos of me—and everyone greeted me with a warm, welcoming smile and happily helped me get some great pictures. The people are friendly, and most importantly, I felt completely safe the entire time. Unlike in some other European cities, I didn’t have to worry about pickpockets at all. Another plus: there are 24-hour money exchange counters and restaurants open around the clock, which is super convenient. One downside, though—I was the only Asian passenger on the flight, and unfortunately, also the only one who was thoroughly checked at airport immigration. That part didn’t feel great, but it didn’t take away from my overall experience. One remarkable experience was that I expected to see taxis lined up outside the airport and a regular bus running between the airport and the city. Surprisingly, there were none. No taxis, no buses. We ended up calling a Green Taxi, which arrived in about 15–20 minutes. Great place for family vacations!
Great place for family vacations! Excellent beaches, excellent playgrounds and green areas! The sea garden is lovely all year around. The center has a bit of everything - old buildings, nice fast food places and small restaurants, different tastes and experiences for everyone - from small kebab shops, through burger joints to restaurants with Bulgarian, Mediterranean and European cuisine. There are nice museums in the center and around the town. The trip to St. Anastasia island is good experience but check the weather before you head out to the sea. Don't forget to use your sun lotion in the summer months! Even if it does not feel very hot sometimes, one can still get burnt. Overall a nice and calm town in the winter, spring and autumn months. Gets busier in the summer months but still far and away from the most overcrowded destinations. Great base point for day trips to the resort towns of Sozopol, Nessebar and other less familiar destinations with interesting archaeological and natural sites and places of interest in 50-60 kilometers range from the city - Strandja mountain, The Eastern Balkan mountain and others.Guest review byИванBulgaria
