The hosts Violeta and her husband are absolutely wonderful - it was cold and her husband had already started a wood fire to ensure I stayed warm, whereas she made me hot soup and brought in some sweets as a welcome. The apartment is not where it is listed but I have made a Google Maps entry now, so please search there and it should be easy to find. Location is not bad - about a kilometre outside the town of Vares, which is walkable. Only one point of improvement would be hot water in the boiler - it is sufficient for only one short shower, which is not ideal after a long day of walking.

Great hotel with a nice atmosphere. The rooms were clean and really big. The staff were super kind and I would recommend the hotel to everyone coming by Kakanj.

Everything was perfect from the location to the accommodation and very pleasant hosts. Just perfect quiet place for enjoyment and entertainment. Kids friendly with swings and playground. Overall impression: Felt like life in the countryside. Love it, we will come back.

Wow, wow, wow. This place is absolutely brilliant! The hosts were very friendly and extremely patient (I arrived a little bit later than expected). They also spoke excellent English. I didn't catch the grandson's name, but he was a really nice guy and was so helpful and accommodating. The accommodation itself is amazing! It's a little wooden house in a forested area. It has lots of cool features like colourful fairy lights and pull-down steps up to the beautiful bedroom in the roof. I slept amazingly well. The kitchen and bathroom were perfect and very well equipped. There was even some rakija for the guests! Everything was spotlessly clean. The cherry on the cake was the hosts' little black cat. She was adorable and very cuddly (and jumped in my car when I was leaving, haha!).

The location was STUNNING! Wonderful facilities for children. The hosts treated us like family - even took the kids - and myself! - for a spin on the quad bikes! We had such a brilliant stay, will look forward to coming back when I revisit Bosnia!
