Love the old cottage with historic charm. The shower in the modern bathroom is very nice. The location close to the main street is perfect.

Beautiful house in a lovely tranquil setting. Probably the best equipped kitchen and house I've ever seen in a BnB. It really feels like a home. Gorgeous views over the river from the bbq and fire pit area.

The pool was amazing! As were the rec room and BBQ area.

The pool was amazing! As were the rec room and BBQ area. The cabin was cramped. Comfortable bed. Blinds didn't block out enough light. Shower flooded the bathroom if the shower curtain was on the outside of the floor basin. Our issue was, it was too far out of town and a huge hill to climb to get to town on foot. NO TAXI SERVICE available in the area :(

    Waterfront was beautiful.

Waterfront was beautiful. Sadly the town is too quiet, most shops closed down. Club, some cafes only serve food on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Even the chemist was closed half the week. Not a lot to see and do. Fortunately Berri is only 40 minute drive away it was more appealing, livelier and we could do a boat cruise. We did eat lunch at the only pub, supposed to be a roast dinner, the meat and potato had never been near an oven . Vegetables were fresh.

A lovely small town with interesting shops and some nice places to eat. There are river cruises to do but we weren't there long enough when one was available. The new wetland walk is great. Friendly people and a quiet environment.

There was everything you could want at the Book Keepers Cottage. Jenny was lovely to deal with and responded quickly to queries. Very close to shops, but not noisy, and The Murray River very easy walk. Lots of places to sit and read or relax at the cottage. Nice garden to sit in and outdoor eating area was lovely. Towels and linen lovely and all rooms decorated beautifully. Lots to do in and around the area. The painted silos well worth a visit short walk from town. Banrock Station Winery close by. Can highly recommend a stop at this delightful cottage. Only complaint was the BBQ wasn't very clean, lots of fat and we ended up cooking our meat in one of the small fry pans, as the flames were quite dangerous otherwise.
