We have been travelling to Mooloolaba for over 25 years, and just love it. We have watched it develop from an underdeveloped “little sister” to Noosa, to a thriving superstar of a location. It is definitely the best beach on the Sunshine Coast. The town planners have done an excellent job of making Mooloolaba a wonderful place to visit. From the boardwalk to the strengthening of the sand dunes/sea wall, to the vegetation surrounding the town, and the fabulous picnic areas and playgrounds for the public. Business owners have responded with many, many wonderful restaurants, shops and other services. Most of the buildings, I noticed when we very recently visited, have been revamped and there is much more parking with a cleverly disguised multi-level car park. We love Mooloolaba, used to stay there when we were caravanning (20+ years ago). Now we fly in. It is close to some scenic towns, Meleny, Montville, Eumundy Market. We enjoyed the ambience! There were many cafes and eateries. Lots of high end fashion shops made ambling along the promenade a pleasure. Pretty abysmal service from the G1 real estate handling the property. The actual hotel staff were amazing, it's a shame our apartment wasn't managed by Mantra Zanzibar itself. Check before you book who your unit is managed through as the real estate won't lift a finger to help you. We had the worst experience with them and it put a huge dampner on our stay.
