The building has been newly renovated, so our 4 nights there were extremely enjoyable. The rooms are well equipped with everything we needed to make breakfast and coffee every morning. The other guests are quiet and respectful. Also, the view of the harbor from our room was amazing! A great grocery store (The Hill) and good bars/restaurants are within walking distance. We had a car, and the car park was easy to access ($40/day for parking). I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was good! From the service to the restaurant Pepina. The manager there is very accommodating to get us a table at the last minute. The head chef Anga treated us to local scallops specially prepared with bread crumbs and local citrus sauce.

Beautiful hotel, very original in conception. Wonderful location, just on the old Macquarie wharf at Hobart's tourist port. Excellent organization and careful management by the hotel's team. Closely linked to the history of the city of Hobart, whose colourful characters are finely sketched on the doors of the rooms. Excellent food at the "Old Wharf Restaurant" and very fine selection of Tasmanian gins, whiskies and vodkas at the "Evolve Spirits" bar. Congratulations.

We have one of the LOFT studio (with sitting, kitchen, and bathroom / toilet below and the bed with another TV & air-cond/heater up-stair), and it was the best accommodation of our trip. The room is perfectly clean, the kitchen is well equipped with all sort of drinks (sparkling water, soft drink, juice, gin, whisky, vodka, wine...coffee, tea...even a traveller adapter and Panadol!!! - all at a price). The choice of movies (NEW and old) is fantastic - it will takes at least 10 days to finish with 24 hours continuous watching! In the bathroom, all towers are doubles (like for 4 persons, though it's a room for 2). At the ground floor are the lounge, bar, restaurant, and cafe (the breakfast was nice! & the manager a very easy going friendly person) and a big under-covered courtyard with lots of tables & chairs - there is also an art gallery. The location of the hotel is PERFECT for me, as my trip to Hobart is to try some nice foods around and take some photos. Also there is complementary valet parking for our car and was there ready in the morning when we check out - THANK YOU, GUYS!

The location was close to Salamanca Market, and the ferry to Mona. There were excellent restaurants and coffee shops close by. The stop for the bus to Mount Wellington was an easy walk away. Rooms were warm and well equipped.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff were lovely and attentive. Breakfast is included which was a great start to our days of exploring Hobart. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

All facilities were as advertised - a good standard, welcoming hosts, clean, well-kitted out kitchen facilities. It may be worth mentioning to future guests that although there is a bus service to town within a 5 min walk, this has very limited service hours. In general, travel to Hobart is generally only practical by a (hire) car or taxi (can be expensive for distance covered). Lenah Valley is a dormitory suburb, and a good choice for visitng Hobart. In itself, I couldn't find anything of note.

It is a quiet spot on fringe of city with a beautiful garden...

It is a quiet spot on fringe of city with a beautiful garden and some bird life. I even saw a wallaby over the back fence .There is a nice outside area with a couple of chairs and a table to sit and enjoy the gardens and birdlife.
