From the moment that I walked in and spoke to Ashleigh to check me in, the staff were amazingly friendly and went out of their way to help me. The room was basic as expected, but was very clean and had everything that was needed. I always worry about shared bathrooms but WOW WOW WOW - they were better than a lot of five star hotels that I’ve stayed in !! Well done everyone !!!

The rooms were really quite nice. I booked 1 room early and the price was excellent. The room was huge and comfortable and they gave me 2 free welcome drinks. Nice touch with chocolates as well. On the second night, I moved into a different room that was much smaller but also nice with a great bathtub. The beds are very nice. The hotel is modern and has nice decor with a lovely rooftop bar and a nice restaurant downstairs.

This was an atmospheric hotel fortunately within my price range. Spacious, comfortable and very clean rooms. The lady who checked me in was nice. Bed was just a touch soft for my taste, however, tastes differ. It was also conveniently right near an L tram stop which is a few stops from the main Newcastle Exchange station, and also a few stops from Newcastle beach. In my offtime, I have to say that the Newcastle beach and several harbors are beautiful, even had a couple nice huge pools supported by the city. There was also a very large and convenient Metro supermarket just a couple blocks away. Also the bar/restaurant was really great, wonderful food and drinks, and staff was very pleasant.

We love Terminus. It was our second time staying there in a month, and we'll absolutely be back next time we're in Australia. Both my wife and I, and my mother, were given complimentary upgrades, which was a wonderful touch. The location, the staff, the cute welcome gifts, the spacious rooms, and the cleanliness of the property are all terrific.

    Beautiful little hotel, very affordable, great food , staff and very comfy beds, bathtubs in the shared bathrooms, commercial but very clean and homely setting. Infront of a beautiful park and only 10 mins drive from the beach. Home away from home that's like my home!!

    We were looking for a place within reach of Newcastle but...

    We were looking for a place within reach of Newcastle but outside of the central area. This worked well for us. The location is right by the hospital and would be excellent for anyone doing hospital visits. Lambton is nice, but not in itself a tourist destination!
