The island is privately owned and run as a resort. It’s beautiful, well kept and well run. Everything that you will need is close together around the marina - supermarket, bottle shop, restaurants, bakery, snorkel trips. Many properties offer complimentary golf buddies which are great fun to drive. It has a luxurious but laid back feel. The cafes and resturants are quite expensive and not the best considering how much your paying per meal. We visited marina tavern 8/10 lunch Pizzeria 6/10 dinner Sails 5/10 lunch Reef lounge 8/10 drinks Bakery 7/10 We used IGA alot to make meals in the apartment. Wildlife park is not worth the money Adults $35each and we were literally in their for 10mins. A great location to visit for any size group. Great restaurants and cafe options, takeaway and supermarket to spend as much or as little as you want. Love any time spent on Hamilton Island!
Love any time spent on Hamilton Island! The atmosphere, the beach, the buggies and just the general vibe! We berthed our boat for a couple of nights in the marina whilst we stayed at Whitsunday apartments and was just a quick dart across to Whitehaven Beach for the day. My only complaint would be we did stay over Easter weekend and the public holiday surcharges were steep on top of already high menu prices but guess to be expected when your in Paradise. The apartment had every amenity you could possibly want, it was neat, very clean and had aircon in every room. Gorgeous views, wildlife at your doorstep, and the buggy was excellent.
