The location was amazing out in the Flinders Ranges. The hotel was far above my expectations. The hotel was unique to be in the outback of Australia. Ellie, the manager, was very welcoming & friendly. You could see that Ellie is very proud of her business & rightly deserved. The staff were friendly & the food was great. Even the feral mixed grill & emu paté was lovely. There are self drives from the hotel or you can just relax & do nothing. It certainly is an experience to be have.

Amazing location with view of the Rawnsley Bluff, nice accommodations (I stayed at the one-room apartments), clean kitchen and bathroom. The laundry was right next door. Walking trails right at your door, and Wilpena Poind was just a 20 minute drive away. All-in-all a very amazing stay, I already miss it !

Loved this property; exterior play area off of main dining room, large dining area with fireplace and couches to lounge. Gift shop had unique to Australia items. Glamping in large tent with beds. Tents had lots of shelf space by beds. Beds comfy. Able to charge phone in cook house. Fridge in cook house. Loved waking early to eat breakfast on log near tent to watch/listen to birds. Short distance to attractions in area. Menu selection for gluten free, dairy free ample. Food was delicious! Quiet and welcoming.

We went at a perfect time to see the country at its best after rain. The wild flowers were out and everything was green. We had wildlife Emus and birds at our door. The weather was perfect. We went to relax and see the scenery and our 10 day trip allowed us to do both. We had several days with planned day activities including a 4WD trip and flight over the ranges and to see Lake Eyre. We did some short day drives to visit Hawker, Blinman & Quorn and other days just rested up. We got to do everything we had planned and more.

The Flinders Ranges are not only and drop-dead gorgeous in terms of the landscape and sightseeing but are geologically and culturally fascinating. The Great wall of China lived up to its name! So many emus!!! Driving around is easy - roads are good.

The Flinders Ranges offers visitors an insight into some significant geological upheaval during the ediacaran period of some 500 million years ago. There are an abundance of walks and tours that match all fitness and interest levels for young and old.

Australia's best kept secret bar none.

Australia's best kept secret bar none. The Flinders Ranges offers peace, tranquility, and stunning scenery with plunging gorges that are a geologist's paradise. The landscapes are vast and timeless with the most beautiful flora and fauna. For me, this was a spiritual journey that drew me closer to God.

Flinders ranges are awesome, your staff and guides are helpfull and courteous. Kristen's 4 wheel drive tour was excellent, she is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The walk to the homestead and Wangarra lookouts was easier than I thought for a reasonably fit 80 year old. The old homestead was a worthwhile look. We had the chance to speak with Jeff Morgan for some time when visiting his gallery which really capped off a very enjoyable and memorable short trip.

Fabulous unusual place half sunk in to ground for thermal efficiency. Spacious room. Very comfy bed and good shower. Stayed 2 nights. Excellent base for exploring west side of Flinders Ranges. Good breakfast included. Superb a la carte dinner both notes. You must try their local full flavoured beer.
