A lovely place to stay, close but far enough away from the tourism madness of Hahndorf. A sleepy country town with a great pub....fireplace, good wine and good food. Went to the wetlands in Mount Barker, Hans Heysen Tour in Hahndorf, and Longview Wines in Macclesfield - Echunga was in the middle of them all so a great place to venture out from.Guest review byDebra-LeeAustralia - 10.0

We were greeted upon arrival. Helped with our bags. Shown some of the appliances in the kitchen and instructions on their uses. Christine and her partner we very helpful on the local area and even printed out maps and instructions on getting to places we were interested in. The room was very comfortable and peaceful, with a lovely view from the deck. It had its own air conditioner and a good size TV with Netflix. It was only a short walk to The Hagen Arms hotel. The bed was comfortable but once you put your head on the pillows they flattened almost completely. We made the mistake of not taking our own shampoo & conditioner as we thought they would be provided. Another choice of topping for the toast may also be a good idea. My wife enjoyed the homemade fig jam, but I'm not a fan.Guest review byAlanAustralia
