AustraliaFrom the minute we got there the staff and owner were very attentive, pleasant and immediately made us feel very comfortable. Showed us our rooms and explained the layout and where everything was. The service at dinner was excellent and the food was super. My Favorite was the sticky date pudding, which was excellent. I must add that this was my first visit to the hotel and knew no one, but left with a feeling that we had made a bunch of new friends. Even the chef came out to the lounge bar for a drink and had a chat. I told them that if I'm in the area I will drop in, even if it is to just have a drink.

GermanyEverything was great - we got such a warm welcome! The room has a really huge and comfortable bed, a bathroom with very soft towels and kitchen equipment. There was coffee and fruit left for our stay and cold water, the fridge was also filled with cold drinks and so on, we never had before and it showed again with how much love the owner runs the B&B. There is also a huge yard around and you can watch different birds and parrots. Do not miss having breakfast in the tram - what an experience. We got fresh fruit, yogurt, ham and eggs … juice !Books and puzzles invite to stay. There are so many details and every little corner is made with love - watch my pictures, maybe you can a feeling and understand. We are so thankful about meeting and staying and recommend it totally .

Its a small town that offers delicious Pub meals . We ate at The American , a hotel with a fantastic bistro. Its close to Daylesford, close to Clunes and even Ballarat. What a lovely tranquil setting to just unwind for a couple of days, Very quaint property, nicely appointed, well done. To the young lady at the Hotel where we picked up the key, thank you, very welcoming. A bit light on in the cutlery & crockery side otherwise very good. lovely Green tea in the drawer, the real stuff, not tea dust in a bag but no tea pot to brew it in, I used the kettle, it worked.Guest review byRobertAustralia - 8.0

Beautiful little town with excellent facilities; parks, hotels/pubs, bakeries, etc. The team in the information centre were friendly and provided great ideas for activities for our weekend. We had our bikes and were surprised to find an excellent bike park with fun tracks for beginners through to advanced riders. Plenty of walking tracks also. There's some top class tennis courts if that's your thing - byo racket/balls. Did a driving tour of the mining history around the region - great information boards and scenic drive. Lovely location and accommodation.
Lovely location and accommodation. Management needs to update internet information. Great place for a weekender. Do not miss the Woolen Mill or the lake both worth a visit. Both pubs serve excellent food and Smokytown cafe serve excellent breakfasts.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 10.0
Accomodation was perfect.
Accomodation was perfect. Modern, comfortable and very clean. Very reasonably priced. A warning for future guests, don't rely on Google Maps to take you there! Instead read the perfectly clear instructions supplied when you pick up the keys.
