Lovely room with great views, lovely staff, fabulous breakfast. Good location for travel to Slovenia. Walk down to the lake was nice as was the cafe at the beach area. Dinner at local Gastehaus Trink, very pleasant. Hotel Pension Melcher is spotlessly clean and tidy. Thoroughly recommend.

It's a cozy family hotel in a quiet environment. We had a lake view from the terace, which was quite big and spacious. Beds were very comfortable with a big choice of different pillows - that was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of vegan and vegetarian options. We appreciated the possibility of using the hotel's ebikes - they have mountain bikes as well. The free public beach is really just a short walk from the hotel. Everybody was really kind and helpful - I really liked the owners parents who very kind and helpful and always smiling despite the fact that we couldn't speak German.

We’ve been staying at lots of accommodations on our frequent journeys through Germany and Austria, but this place STANDS OUT ! It is not just the standing location and the villa itself,it’s the family who runs the place. From the reception to the dinner in their restaurant the owner made us feel so welcome. We had dinner relevant to a 5 star restaurant meal, freshly cooked and one of the best breakfast for a small place like this. Good luck to the people owning this place! They xeginetely know how to manage and earntouristwith their warm hospitality.

Built in a modern concept , wooden interior & large windows which allows more brightness to enter the place during the day and allows a better sighting of the stunning view of the surrounding nature which you can never get tired of.     It’s a great place to relax and enjoy nature; lake, forests and close by mountains. If you’re an outdoor person, then you are in the right place. We hiked, bikes and swam everyday. Make sure to eat at the restaurant Hazienda, great food and super service.

    Very friendly and helpful stuff, nice breakfast with tasty sweets. Wonderful view from the balcony. The hotel is located on the hill, so you will have a small work out on you way back in the evening. But that's not necessary a bad thing after a schnitzel 😁

    Very nice appartment with a beatiful view on the neighbouring mountains, in walking distance from the Faaker See. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We only stayed for one night but would come back again gladly!
