The people are amazing.
The people are amazing. They are all friendly and acomodating, and almost everyone speaks great english. The food is delicious! We went to several restaurants and all the food is great. Butrint national park is a must see. Although I highly recommend going there early (before 10 AM) to get a parking spot. Otherwise you will park 1 km-2km away and walk in the sun. The infrastructure is horrible. There are too many hotels and the roads are narrow and there are no or very little sidewalks. It is dangerous to walk around with small children because in august it was filled with cars that were driving too fast on those roads. Вистинско достигнување е да се стигне од Скопје до Ксамил. За жал инфраструктурата во Албанија е далеку од потребното за брзо и безбедно патување. Градот Ксамил се гуши во сообраќајен хаос. Недостасуваат паркинзи, клупи за одмор, пешачки патеки, корпи за отпадоци и најважното на плажите нема тушеви ! Плажите наликуваат на фавели и движењето е прилично отежнатао. Истакнувам дека има неколку плажи и барови кои отскокнуваат со уреденоста, понудата, но и цените се високи. Ксамил обилува со одлични ресторани каде за пристојна сума на пари може да се добие одличен оброк. Very beautiful place! So clear sea with best beaches .So tasty restaurants and cafes. We can pay cash and with card ,we don't have problems with payment. Beautiful beaches and lovely restaurants, but very busy and €30 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella wherever you go. Packed beaches, lots of noise from multiple bars so you're hearing 3-4 songs at the same time. Most of the music is local techno so not our cup of tea! The Albanian people were all very friendly with good service and better than I've experienced elsewhere in Europe and at home! Not as cheap as expected.... €15-€20 for a main course but Happy Hour cocktails for €5 is good value. Ksamil is a beautiful location, although until you enter the resort you would think you are in another area, abandoned houses, torn from a horror movie. But once you get to the resort, things change. People are very welcoming, smile a lot and charge you with positive energy. The food is very good, the price is affordable, the terraces were washed every morning, at the beach you can bring water, juices, or any other snacks from outside without anyone pointing out that you are not allowed with other products from outside. The beaches are gorgeous, the water is perfect for swimming, trips are organized around the island or you can also opt for scuba sessions, skyjet rides. Our family had two Seaview rooms with balconies. Each room had 2 double beds and a mini fridge. The beds were okay. The furnishings were okay and filled the purpose. The bathrooms were newly updated and fresh. Great access to the highway but this may be a negative during the high season as you do hear the traffic. Ksamil has a rough shingle beach which is very noisy with a lot of “boom boom boom”! The restaurants and facilities in the village of Ksamil are pretty mediocre. So staying at the Limni resort Hotel was a plus. It is quiet, relaxing and only a few minutes walk to the centre of the Village… an oasis of calm and tranquility.
