Very nice place, clean, Orthodox church in the center. We didn't manage to climb the observation tower, it didn't work early in the morning. It's a nice neighborhood near the old bazaar. The city is lovely, lots of good restaurants and coffee shops. The Medieval Art museum was brilliant as was the photography museum (though strangely no shops in either). Highly recommend a trip to the cross on the hill and the Church of St. Elias, the most spectacular views. Sky Hotel bar is a great place to view the city and surrounds. One of the few cities in Albania we'd not been to before, but it's great. And close to Lake Ohrid if you're willing to take the local buses and then haggle with taxi drivers in Prrenjas to get over the border. We were unsure about including Korçe in our trip but no regrets. The town is pretty and the market square busy and fun in evenings along with main streets. There are bars and restaurants everywhere and we also had enough activities to fill our days with museums and churches but also driving to the lakes and the surrounding mountains. Clean and modern with a lot of space perfectly located in Korça. There’s a little shop just at the entrance where you can buy water, fruit or snacks. The host is super friendly and helpful. The room had bathrobes and toothbrushes, comfortable beds and balcony. I really appreciated that the room didn’t have any cigarette smell, no smoking , which otherwise is a problem for me in Albania. The place is perfectly clean; you could eat off the floor. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. I kindly asked for an early arrival (in Albania you don't have to pay extra for it) and they promised I could.
