Boasting a terrace and views of garden, Westport Country Chalets is a recently renovated chalet situated in Westport, 3.7 km from Westport Train Station. This chalet features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Rooms are fitted with a patio. Very cute little chalet. Private and quiet. It's away from Westport about 15 minutes by bike. Peaceful get away.

The units at the chalet complex feature private entrance and soundproofing so guests can enjoy a peaceful stay. A patio with an outdoor dining area and garden views is offered in each unit. All units at the chalet complex are fitted with a private bathroom and bed linen. The little cottages are very cute and well-equipped, Mary and Martin are excellent hosts, who showed us around the area and gave us some amazing recommendations. The animals on the farm, including a little foal called "Bruce" , a very friendly dog and cat and some lambs are also a big plus. The common rooms are super big and nicely equipped too, with a pool table and everything. I'd come back there anytime to spend some more time in the area. It's also a very good "base camp" to go and hike Croagh Patrick or drive a bit further up to the Achill Islands. There is also a bus stop quite close to the farm, which runs until 22:47, a very good option to explore Westport and the local pubs without having to drive. The location is very rural and quiet, the room i stayed in was fantastic, with a beautiful sea veiw very modern and clean, I would highly recommend here, and would definitely stay again.

Offering a garden and garden view, Country Cabin is situated in Mullagh, 20 km from Westport Train Station and 37 km from Ballintubber Abbey. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 18 km from Clew Bay Heritage Centre. This precious cabin was perfect for me as a solo traveler and provided everything I really needed. Self-accomodating, very peaceful and dark for best sleep I've had in a long time. Amenities and restaurant/cafe locations are within quick driving distance. Westport may have more choices but I enjoyed Louisburgh 74 in Louisburgh (highly recommend their seafood chowder!!). Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, Clifden, Cong, Downpatrick Head, Achill Island and more, all easily accessible from this location. You can't go wrong here, especially if you are a solo traveler. Mary checked on me daily to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. Plus, everyone really should be greeted by the friendliest dog and cat when you arrive home (even if it's just your temporary home).

After 8 nights at various b&bs from Ennis to Ballycastle we liked this the most. Got Patrick from Tea by the Sea to deliver great burgers for dinner
