The kitchen is well equipped and the host, Bill, was exceptional; he made considerate effort to offer local knowledge and advice, also on arrival provided coffee pods, fresh milk, scones and wine!

This little cabin near the shore of the lough was very private and relaxing. The scenery from all windows of the cabin as well as from the attached deck was unsurpassed. My stay here felt like a vacation within my vacation. One rainy day I stayed inside reading, drinking tea, and watching the light and weather change — it was one of the most memorable days of my trip! I also loved the cows, who showed up each evening around sunset to say hello, as well as the fox who would trot by occasionally and the birds. The host was very helpful, checking in each day by text to see if I needed anything.

Everything. Our family have stayed in many places before but this beautiful house by the lake was really exceptional. There’s every comfort and facility a family will need. The host was extremely helpful and always responsive. It’s the perfect place to explore Connemara and Galway from. On a clear night, the view with the moon’s reflection is like something out of a fairy tale.

The personal touch by the host and hostess were especially welcomed. There was ample space for a couple. They supplied us with coffee and milk and nibbles. We felt very welcomed.

Stunning scenery whichever way you drive. The host went above and beyond to help make our stay special, even having the piano tuned for me! The cabin itself is even better than the photos. We were blown away! Everything is very comfortable and the views from the open plan living area and master bedroom are just wonderful. We were very sad to leave this special place.
