It was absolutely beautiful and I had an amazing time. It rained when I was there so I couldn’t use the balcony but the views were amazing nonetheless and they had little bows in the toilet roll which I thought was really cute

We loved our stay at the Madeira sunset cottage. A lot of privacy, great view, nice breakfast brought to your cottage. If you don't like big hotels chain and prefer to stay in more private accomodations like us, this is a great place. And the girls working there were super nice.

The path to the gardens is lush and beautiful, behind us a levada walk, ahead the vast expanse of Atlantic Ocean with ever changing magical cloud formations. We enjoyed breakfast at the side terrace in the sun listening to bees on the jasmine and a barbecue dinner at the front of the cottage, later watching the stars.

Beautiful house with garden and terrace with a view , fully equipped to cook, and comfortable for three adults ( in the end, we shared the big bedroom). One footstep away from the natural swimming pools and the supermarkets . Cherry on top was the landlady! - Ms. Felicidade is a really nice host and treated us with eggs, banana, and even home- made marmalade of figs from her garden . She also allowed us an early check in. We really appreciated the extra mile she went to take care of us. I send her a hug and totally recommend her place !

The host and the extra effort they made to have the property like a home. There was fresh fruit and bread, food in the fridge and a wine bar. They were also very responsive and willing to accomodate our changes in arrival date and check out time.

Me and my boyfriend spent a total of 6 days in the Tropical Chalet. We could have stayed there for at least another month. The place's absolutely lovely. Basically it's straight among banana trees and other beautiful tropical plants and flowers. There're very few other houses in the neighborhood and the closest main street's very quiet making the whole area very peaceful. The backyard has a great view over the ocean and the surrounding banana trees. Also, the hammock's a nice touch to the whole experience. The balcony on the first floor's anotheru lovely space and the house itself is functional though not particularly luxurious or equipped. The only thing tricky is maybe the fact that the street to get to the house's very steep and narrow (some taxis refuse to drive down there). The suggestion is to get a car or even better a motorbike. By foot it's nice to walk down to the beach or through the levadas that go along the coastline. Though mind that it's a very long and steep way to get to the nearest supermarket, bar or shop. This is another reason why having a car/motorbike is highly advisable. Overall, a very nice and recommended accommodation for ocean-loving couples/singles seeking a place to enjoy nature and tranquility.
