We enjoyed our stay in Atlantic Gateway Lodge. The flat is spacious, well equipped and is in line with the photos. It is located in a local condominium, which is not spectacular from the outside, but the flat is nice. We appreciated that the hosts provided a lot of toiletries, as well as plenty of towels which was a big plus in the humid Azorean climate. We found the location, Arrifes, perfect (with a car). It is a quiet residential area, a 10-minute drive from Ponta Delgada centre and 5-minute drive from the motorway: an ideal base to explore the island. The airport is also just 10-minute drive away, but luckily no airplane noises can be heard. The windows of the back of the flat overlook green fields and mountains. A big well-equipped supermarket is only a 3-minute drive from the flat. Marcia, the host was kind, we had a good communication with her. She welcomed us in person with traditional Azorean cookies, showed us around the flat and helped us with local taxis, as we didn't have a car on the first day. There were noise issues one morning from a neighbour due to repair works, and Marcia and her husband were kind enough to agree with the neighbour to do the works when we were out. There was no issue with parking, there were always a couple of spots available. We recommend this accommodation and would gladly return.

The lodge is amazing. An experience. Not one of those big hotels, but very familiar. We have been welcomed so kindly and there have been nice little presents for us. The location is good to explore the island by car. We‘d definitely come here again and say thanks for having us at this nice spot!

Our stay was truly wonderful. The cabin is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, the attention to detail in every corner is evident. The hot tub is a great way to unwind the day, breakfast was delicious. Would love to return one day, highly recommend.

Clean, cozy, beautiful apartment. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. Central location, beautiful view from the hall window to the marina and yachts. Quick check-in, top communication with the owners. Excellent location: in the building several souvenir stores, next to the supermarket and cafes. Opposite the building in the marina is a good restaurant, there are also boat trips.

The apartment is just like the pictures. We were welcomed by fresh baked apple pie and a pot of local tea, absolutely delicious and such a nice touch! The location is great, AC units are great to get rid of the humidity from outside and the neighborhood feels very safe. There even is a pineapple plantation you can visit just around the corner

The historic building was beautiful. Jose met us at our agreed time. He explained everything to us. He pointed out on a map of the island the important places to see. He gave us great recommendations for local restaurants where we had fabulous meals of local fare. We highly recommend staying at this residence.
