We absolutely loved our stay! Super friendly staff which even organized a special private tour for us - big thanks to Gloria! Amazing venue, private chalets had an amazing view, were super comfortable, spacious and with great equipment. Amazing breakfast and dinner and pool. The location within the private park makes it adventurous. We can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely loved our stay here! We only stayed for one night but it was perfect. Loved our self catering unit. Everything was well thought off from mosquito screens to cooking appliances and a beautiful bathroom. My favourite bit was touring the reserve and meeting the big cats!! My husband went for a run in the early morning and spotted giraffes. How cool! It's so lovely to see how much the owners care about the animals and the work that they are doing! I would definitely stay here again and recommended this place to others we met on our trip. And to the folks complaining about the gravel roads to get to the property, they must not have gone South! Their driveway is by far one of the best gravel roads you'll come across.

This wonderful place is located near the city of Otjiwarongo (around 5 km on the primary road). By the way, the city is nice, it's quiet and has everything required (like groceries, pharmacies, fuel stations, etc). The property is not just a hotel - it's a large secured territory where local wild animals can freely walk near residential houses and common buildings. There are ostriches, various antelopes and even one beautiful giraffe; all the animals are peaceful and calm. Ah, yes - they also have a lovely cat that usually spends his time near a fireplace in a restaurant. The staff is so friendly that I can't even describe how it's cool. All hotel workers and management are dedicate employees and good people in general. There are a lot of dishes for lunch and dinner in the restaurant's menu, everything is fresh and tasty. The breakfast is included by default and it's very good as well. You can order such drinks as wine or beer as well. Prices are very reasonable. We were impressed with our room, since it was an entire house with a big bathroom (and there were no issues with hot water) and spacious and well equipped living area. There is enough furniture so you can store your things, make tea, seat not only on a bed, and so on. The room has strong Wi-Fi and air conditioning, which is very useful during cold periods. Our room also had a patio, so we could sit with a book or a drink and watch animals passing by. The territory of the lodge is fenced and secured so you can leave your car near the reception without worries that anything will be stolen. We are frequent travelers, nevertheless we were so impressed with this place. A huge thank you to the owners and staff for the unique experience!

All cabins in Otjiwarongo

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

This was a good stopover between Windhoek and Etosha. Chalets were basic but spacious and clean. Dinner was excellent looking out from the deck to the open land. The site is visited every evening by a variety of animals including a giraffe. Very good value.

The chalet was superb, much better than expected with a beautifully decorated interior. I especially loved the bathroom tiles with their African theme. The chalet comprises a bedroom, bathroom and a sitting room with a balcony and a view of the bush. All facilities are available in a well appointed room. The food, both for dinner and breakfast, is of a high standard. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It all made for an extremely pleasant stay at the Cheetah Conservation Foundation, a most worthy project.

Very spacious rooms/cabins, best food on the trip (for dinner and breakfast); the whole area is very fascinating, all maintained by the family - and they are extremely nice; a must experience with the wild cat drive.
