Mirador Valle de la Tatacoa in Villavieja features a garden and a terrace. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking. It was really cool to be out in the middle of nowhere in the desert. The hotel is very rustic and located on a functioning ranch with cows and horses and everything. It is also walking distance from the two grey desert hiking trails. The owner was really friendly and fun to chat with as well as helpful with anything we needed. The food was also some of the best hotel food we’ve had.

Biohotel tatacoa Qji is set in Villavieja and has a pool with a view and garden views. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. -Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The son (Esteban) and wife drove me to the airport and were kind enough to let me drop off my bag and then brought me to the mall to get some lunch. They were very patient. -Breakfast was good and included. -It was remote. -Dinner was delicious (book ahead of time). -The room was LUXURIOUS for the desert -- a couch, bathtub, soft, good-smelling towels.

Set in La Victoria, Campamento Estrella Casa del Ángel provides accommodation with a hot tub and spa facilities. The property has mountain and pool views. We loved this place! The rooms were furnished to a high standard. Perfect place to stay for a walk in the desert and get lost in the stars.

Set in San Francisco, Pachingo la primavera provides accommodation with a public bath and an open-air bath. This campground offers free private parking and full-day security. the location outside the town and close to the desert is great. it’s a beautiful spot. the food was good and good value.

Great camping 🏕 experience 👌 The toilets, showroom and breakfast were very good 👍 The tent ⛺️ is quite big and you could fit the badpacks no problem.

Set in Villavieja, Infinito Tatacoa provides accommodation with seating area. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Peace and quiet. The hotel is out in the middle of nowhere, a long, nearly two hour, drive from the airport in Neiva. There is nothing else around it. It is as tranquil and peaceful and relaxing as it is possible to be. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and accomodating. The restaurant and public area are simple but comfortable, slightly higher than the rest of the grounds and open so as to catch good breezes all day and night. It is a very hot desert area, but thanks to the construction it is very comfortable even without air conditioning. The wifi works really well, but we mostly stayed off of it as the idea was rest and relaxation. The pool area is lovely, the water very refreshing. The hotel can arrange tours to other parts of the desert and everything is quite reasonably priced. In the room - which truly is "glamping" rather than a traditional hotel room - the bed was extremely comfortable. The outdoor shower worked well and the water was a temperature that was refreshing without being chilly. It was a perfect place to get away from the noise and chaos of Bogota.
