Zama Resort Koh Phangan is located along Haad Chao Phao Beach in Koh Phangan, a 10-minute walk to Secret Beach. Boasting a tropical garden and views of sunset, the resort offers free Wi-Fi and an outdoor pool. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome. The host was considerate because renovations were going on in the property and allowed us one night to decide if we want to stay. We received a bungalow with the best view possible, and were welcomed with a bit of treats. The rooms are big, everything in the room is simple and feels vintage. But everything was also very comfortable, and we did not experience any worth to remember inconveniences. They made it look easy, but after visiting a few hotels in Thailand I know this is not something to take for granted. The hotel has only a few meters of beach and upon first sight it did not look impressive and even a bit uninviting, but after trying it out and after visiting the near Haad son beach we realized that the hotel’s beach is perfect. Unlike the beaches around, for some reason their beach didn’t have waves. It had clear, calm waters with no sticky sand. Even my husband who doesn’t like to spend time on beaches was thrilled. The breakfast was the best in all the hotels we were in Thailand. They had a choice from a menu and they served a rich and diverse dish (unlike, let’s say, 2 eggs with one sausage). And it was served until 5 pm, so no time pressure. We had a “do not disturb” sign on, but they still left every day a bag with toilet paper and water bottles besides the door. So considerate! Clearly understanding the guest’s needs. The cats were great, we even had 2 cat visitors in our bungalow. Good customer service from the cats lol If we’ll ever be in Koh Phangan again we’ll definitely return. Actually, we want to return just to stay in this hotel again.

I loved the balcony, I spend two days sat on it drinking sangsom and smoking fags when the rain was to much to leave, had a great time, as the staff would walk by and say hello to me and make conversation as I was sat outside

The accommodation features nightclub and an ATM. This is my second year coming here. Second time to extend my staying Twice as well. Never feel enough from here! The owner and the team are great, no where else can host you and makes you feel home and a family member as well like here. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, shower heater is working properly, they offer free towel during check-in and one towel on the bed already. Definitely next year will do it for Third. You can play billiards and darts at the 3-star hotel. Loved the stay at CyKali! Felt like home. Its clean, beautiful, quiet and well located. Karin and Ciril the hosts are the sweetest, since the moment I entered to this place I felt good connection, enjoyed the conversations and they were always super helpful! I liked the Saturday dinner they make, they used to have a restaurant in France so dinner was delicious!

We were in koh panghan in a few hotels, and by far, this was our best experience!

I originally planned to stay for just two days, but I ended up extending for three weeks. The hostel has several comfortable work areas, breakfast in the morning, and an amazing community where making friends is effortless. The cleanliness is outstanding, with a lovely staff that keeps the bathrooms and rooms spotless. The beds are super comfortable, and the overall feeling of cleanliness is excellent.
