Lovely couple who ran the place, they do husky sled pulling during winter so there were lots of dogs around. We were lucky enough to have the whole place for ourselves. We thoroughly loved our stay and it truly was the best stay in Norway so far.

Our apartment had a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains but this probably varies from one apartment to another (some of the apartments probably don't have much of a view as it is obstructed by the buildings). It was very quiet and pleasant stay. This is a perfect base for exploring nearby mountain nature with a car. Grocery store is in Røldal center just 5 minutes drive away. Underground parking with a lift straight up to the apartment floor was great on rainy weather. These apartments are located in the yellow building behind the main hotel building.

The town is in walking distance, nice Stave church and good supermarket.
