This was a lovely place to stay. Really interesting history and fun decor. Comfortable and quiet. Beautiful grounds. Best breakfast we had in a three week trip in Ireland. Wonderful host. We arrived late in the evening yet the night staff member James was super helpful. He made sure we had everything we needed including spending a lot of time trying to book us a local taxi for that night. Taxi’s can be hard to come by in the evening in the town of Thurles. He went above and beyond to help us and managed to organise it for us. The breakfast was incredible and delicious. James did an amazing job and even put on breakfast super early for us as we were leaving early. The breakfast was the best breakfast we had had for a while and it included eggs, bacon, toast, breads and fresh juice and coffee. Thanks James. The rooms were clean and warm and well equipped and we will be back for sure.
