Don, his wife and the lady running the hotel are warm and friendly. The Bouganvillea is gorgeous. We had the top floor, quiet with nice views. The room is spacious and as remote workers we loved having a desk each. This isn't a fancy apartment but if you value space and functionality I'd recommend it. Bonus points for cats.

Located in the centre of Nong Khai City and beside the Mekong River, Mut Mee Garden Guest House is only a 5-minute walk from Tha Sadej Indochina Market.

They have a big beautiful garden by the river. Its a real pleasure to sit there having food or drinks. My room had mosquito nets everywhere and staff was nice.

The facilities are excellent. Very well equipped. Excellent AC, water pressure great and hot water. But the highlight for me was meeting the host Nick. You could not wish to have a more helpful person as your host. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He arranged food for us as we arrived. He took us on a sight seeing trip. He gave advice on getting to Laos, telephones while we were there, helped filling in forms and he took my family to the bridge to cross into Laos. We enjoyed the stay so much we stayed another night on our return and Nick collected my family from the bridge. I cycled to Laos.
