This spotless apartment, located just outside the main shopping area of town on a residential street, was the perfect place to spend several nights. It has a large main area with comfortable bed, plus a sofa, table and chairs. The kitchen was well equipped and had a coffee maker (and coffee), microwave, range, and good-sized refrigerator, as well as a table and two chairs. The bath had toiletries as well as an excellent shower, a large counter with room for personal articles, and a clothes washer and drying rack. Parking was convenient and free, and it was a very short drive to stores, museums and restaurants in the lovely town. There are two rental apartments in this property and the very nice owners live upstairs. There is a lovely garden with plenty of seating. Highly recommended!

There was a small kitchen in this studio flat which had a nice comfy bed, a small table to eat at and a small bathroom with shower. It was located on the upper floor, in one of the older style traditional buildings, situated a short walk from the harbour and shops. It was good value for money.

A good location for a stress-free holiday in Ísafjörður, Guesthouse Gamla is a guest house surrounded by views of the garden.

This is a great size for an apartment and made a change from the usual Icelandic accommodation. The furnishings and decor have gone full circle from 'old' to 'funky retro' but everything is clean and working. Although this is away from the main village (due to the avalanche in the 1990s) there is a fantastic park just behind the apartment block. And it is only a short drive to Ísafjorður (Tjörhúsið is a must for every visitor to the West Fjords)

Very kind hostess although we didn’t meet her, quick to answer questions and obliging re my request for a private bathroom and late upgrade. Room good size, really comfy, very relaxing, just what we needed after our 3 days camping. Couldn’t get the water cool enough for a long soak in the bath, but I’m getting used to Iceland being either very hot or very cold! Didn’t distract from our enjoyment and relaxation. Thank you 😊

Nice, spacious house with good amenities. The living room and the kitchen are fine, a dining area, too. Rooms are small, but fine for only sleeping.

The Old Bookstore is situated in Flateyri and offers a shared lounge. The property has sea and mountain views.

If you are looking for a lovely stay in a cosy home - this is it. The owners did a magnificent job mainting and highlighting the spirit of an old Islandic home resulting in an incredibly warm and fascinating atmosphere. Nevertheless, modern amenities such as a electric stove are well integrated into this home. In two weeks of vaccation in Iceland this was the most comfortable bed we had.
