This has exceeded all my expectations. A private secluded cottage situated within tropical gardens with sea views. A very short walk to a sandy beach with clear water. Facilities were perfect, everything was supplied (including a washing machine and a drier). We were befriended by a couple of gorgeous golden retrievers and a cat. The location is so quiet, away from any business. But also 5 min to a ferry that takes, in another 5 minutes to Cahersiveen.

The apartment is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Unfortunately we only stayed one night but it would be perfect for longer stays as it has a fully equipped kitchen and is in a great location for exploring the area.

    We had the absolute privilege of spending a few days in Cul Cottage over Easter 2024. Ger and Derarca have created something really special here, allowing people to experience a step back in time on the edge of Ireland. Staying in a 200-year old cottage is, of course, not going to be the same as a modern holiday home...the house has its quirks and that's part of the charm! Bring plenty of fuel for the stove, get cosy and enjoy this very special place.

    Absolutely amazing place! The cottage is well equipped, very functional kitchen. The whole place is very welcoming. The sea view guaranteed. Place it's clean and warm. It's a short walk to the village where you can grab a dinner or a drink in the hotel. The communication with the host was very good, they gave us some tips and recommendations. Self check in, very easy instruction.

    Lived up to its name as a cosy cottage, very clean and exceptionally well maintained. Great location, we felt right at home during our stay. Probably the best holiday home we have stayed in over recent years.. Peter proved to be an excellent host, very helpful and responded to any questions in a timely manner. Overall an excellent holiday experience.

    This lovely old house has all the facilities of a self-catering holiday home. It is very cosy and leaves nothing to wish for. The garden is superb and really special. From just a few steps down to the shore there is a magnificent view across to the mainland. The proprietor, Peter Cahill, is very helpful and a very nice and likeable person. We were very pleased to meet him.
