As I have been staying there for Christmas and New Year's Eve, we got almost all the time treats from the Romanian cuisine, typical for the region. I was also impressed by the host's kindness, to offer us sweetbread and wine for Christmas (a loaf and a bottle to each traveler!) and the same for the New Year's Eve, when the wine was sparkling. Great hosts! The building is new, the elevator is working properly and the view is gorgeous. Very comfortable rooms too and kept clean daily.

The owners were very kind during my stay and helped me with any questions I had. The hotel itself is based in a quiet area about 25 min walk from the city centre. I was travelling solo and I enjoyed the walk around the area. There are also some nice restaurants and a laundry nearby.

The property features a garden, shared lounge and parking on-site among other facilities. It is located 1.5 km from The Black Tower and provides a 24-hour front desk. Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the mountain and garden. It's a really amazing place, so calm and peaceful. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Absolutely recommend.

We had a car and did not want to drive in the old town itself, but there was ample parking near this hotel and it was a five minute walk to the main square. The room was a normal size with a nice big window that opened for ventilation, but had heavy curtains blocking the light for sleeping late. The room was clean. The beds were comfy. The staff was kind and welcoming. The breakfast was exceptional, with made to order eggs, plus pastries, bread, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, juice, coffee, tea. Everything you could possibly want. At night the entrance is lit up just lovely, It made us happy to enter. Would definitely stay again.

We had very clear instructions on how to gain access to the property & where the room was. After enduring a near 24 hour day, to find the room was a complete joy. The bed was more comfortable than our own & we slept like babies. This property is immaculate, close to the Piata Mare but very quiet. The garden is charming and the hosts were so, so friendly & helpful. Our only wish was to have stayed longer, but we are very much looking forward to returning at the end of our holiday for our last night before we fly home.
