The boutique nature of Sunrise Lodge (only ten rooms in total) provided a more personal experience for us and this, we believe, is the best place to stay in all of Malta - not just on Gozo - but the entire country. Sure, there are places that cost USD$1000+ per night that would also be great, but Sunrise Lodge represents unsurpassed value for money. It is only a ten minute walk, all downhill, to the ferry terminal that connects Gozo to the island of Malta. Ferry trips are also fairly short and inexpensive. We would choose to stay on Gozo for the duration of our stay next time, using this delightful island as our base. We must also give a big shout out to Joe, Sunrise Lodge's Welsh chef. Joe is a character, and he and James are a great team. They make a great breakfast! For first-time visitors to Malta, seriously consider Sunrise Lodge as your place to stay. You will, like us, be delighted with your decision.

Mistakes happen, but great customer service is what sets a hotel apart — and in this case, the team really went above and beyond to ensure we still had a positive experience. We’d gladly return and recommend this hotel to others looking for attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere.

The air-conditioned accommodation is 4.2 km from Cittadella. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. wonderful accommodation in a newly renovated elderly house with a lot of atmosphere. Beautiful and fresh rooms and lovely yard with pool. The hosts were very nice and helpful.
