JamboHouse Lamu is set in Lamu, 300 metres from Gallery Baraka, 500 metres from Lamu Museum, and 500 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum. I liked that the house was right in the middle of community houses, which made me feel more connected to the old town. The breakfast that Arnold made was amazing and I really liked the vibe of the place. There were plenty of dining places nearby and all of the host's recommendation was 10 on 10.

Situated within 500 metres of Shela Beach and 200 metres of Mnarani House in Lamu, Jua House provides accommodation with seating area. The bed and breakfast features city views and a sun terrace. Beautifully decorated and clean with an excellent, friendly, and attentive staff , great location with easy walking distance to all activities and beautiful views from the top floor. Building had generators so we still had power when power went out in the area.

Featuring a shared lounge and views of garden, Shela Bliss is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Lamu, 400 metres from Manda Beach. The host was absolutely lovely and made us feel completely at home. He made sure we were comfortable at all times, and tailored city tours, boat trips and a sunset cruise for us. Definitely made our stay in Lamu and we hope to go back sometime!

Absolutely stunning, beautifully renovated historic Swahili building in the heart of the oldest part of Lamu Town. My suite was complete with the traditional carved grand bed of the mansion, so large it had a step to get up into it; a beautiful terrace with a view over the old town rooftops to the water; gorgeous carved plasterwork, traditional paintwork, and plenty of space and air. Safari the house manager was amazing, so thoughtful, pleasant and responsive to every small request. The dining and lounge floor also lovely, with a pool and comfortable, cool areas to relax. A very special historic property where you can immerse yourself in the grandeur and romance of Lamu's heyday: such a wonderful treat to stay here. I look forward to returning.

Featuring a swimming pool and tropical gardens, Kijani Hotel is situated on the coast of Lamu Island, along the Indian Ocean. The décor comes with natural handmade furniture, lanterns and ornaments. The location can not be beat, but the pool and court yard stole the show

Providing garden views, a garden and free WiFi, Samaki House provides accommodation well located in Lamu, within a short distance of 18th Century Swahili House Museum, Lamu Museum and Lamu Fort. The house was clean and extremely beautiful, rooftop has nice sitting are with a good breeze from the ocean. Katana gave us a great experience and amazing service
