This charming 18th-century guest house is an ideal base for visiting the medieval city of Carcassonne. It offers individually-decorated rooms and a floral garden with a pond and a shaded terrace. Fabulous location for exploring the city. Very nice hosts and a lovely newly renovated house. Everything seems to be very new and tastefully decorated. It was clean and uncluttered, and had great views of the castle.

Excellent apartments in a quiet town are located in a villa where the owners themselves live. Quiet, cozy, a great place to stop for one night on the way or to relax for a few days in peace and quiet. Free parking right on the street in front of the house, the place is absolutely quiet and safe. The room is small but very cozy and comfortable. The owner was very kind and turned on the air conditioning in our room before our arrival (there were abnormally hot days) so that we could immediately relax. In the morning, nice classic French breakfast is served on the veranda with croissants, baguette and several types of jam. Definitely stay here again.

There is absolutely nothing to complain about! It's a converted residence with one ground floor room and 3 more up a winding staircase. It's a perfect combination of private room and hostel-style interaction with other guests. Owner, Pascal, single-handedly does all the work, keeping the place very clean and tidy. He speaks adequate English. At 25€ (single, mid-May, no breakfast), it's an outstanding value, too. I enjoyed it so much I stayed 3 nights. When there was no availability on the 2nd night, Pascal gave me his room.The four rooms share two bathrooms, half and three-quarter. There is a full shared kitchen/lounge, including an oven and cooking equipment, suitable for preparing full meals. Wi-fi is excellent. There is a constant supply of coffee and tea, a generous set of herbs and spices, ice cubes, and garden lemons. The description says towels and linens cost extra. This is true for towels but linens are included. The rear surroundings are lushly green and the residential street is very quiet. There is a small balcony for smoking or sitting and the large front yard has tables and chairs. There is ample, free street parking. Shopping and the beach are a long walk away, but there is good bus service. Guests should be aware that the rooms do not have external locks so they're accessible when not occupied but I had absolutely no sense of theft danger. If you. like me, don't like standard hotels, this place is for you!

Everything about our stay in Villa Romana was more than perfect! The place is very stylish, modern, with amazing interior and exterior design! We also met the owner, she is an amazing woman, very polite and professional. We’ll be happy to visit it again!

The place is beautiful and the hosting family is lovely & kind. The breakfast contains homemade jams, cookies and amazingly fresh orange juice!

La Maison Joly is the best place I stayed in Provence so far. The village Ménerbes was almost as charming as the famous Gordes. The apartment was lovely and spacious in the quiet area. The old house with a lot of books had a history of its own and the host Vincent had a corresponding charisma. Séverine prepared wonderful breakfast. No TV screen in the apartment was a real bonus.
