We loved our stay in Britannia Inn, staff was polite and very helpful. Breakfast and dinner was delicious and portions very generous. Spacious room but could do with bigger bed especially there is a room for it. Air con was a bonus! We will definitely go back in the future!

Hospitality, exceptional. Breakfast, superb. Room size quite small, a bit uncomfortable -but the availability of the downstairs lounge area fit the bill very nicely. The cheery innkeeper was a wonderful source of information, and even went extra by driving us to the bus stop up the hill. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

What a fantastic find! We loved our 2 night stay at the Duke of Cornwall! The owners of this place are super friendly and accommodating! They really care about their guests. They’ve recently taken this place on and have made improvements. The room was fantastic! Spacious, well presented, clean and contained everything we needed and expected. The building is an old pub building which has quirky features but it is modernised. We found the bed extremely comfortable and we were off to sleep so quickly! The shower was great, nice fluffy white towels, toiletries provided too. We could adjust the heating to suit our needs as well. We will definitely be back for another stay and will be recommending to family and friends. We couldn’t believe how great the value was for our stay! We definitely got a much nicer place that we expected. The location of this hotel was perfect for us, it’s only a ten minute walk from the bus and train station. And a lovely 20 minute stroll downhill to Charlestown harbour and beach which is such a picturesque place. We enjoyed walking down early for the sunrise and it wasn’t an issue to sneak out of the building at 5.30am to do this! We followed the coastal path to find more beaches to enjoy. And on the second day we took a bus to Mevagissey which is such a gorgeous Cornish town, after enjoying the harbour and shops we also found the hidden Polstreath beach which is absolutely breathtaking.

    The pub is just at the top of the town, 5 mins from everything, and is a nice locals place (with a live band on the first night.) Nicole was really helpful, put herself out for us, and also made a real effort with the breakfast for my vegan daughter which was much appreciated. The room was comfy and clean, and separate from the pub so quiet and private.
